Dorm Representatives

We are looking for dorm representatives to serve as a hub for resources, information, and advocacy in each dorm. TLDR: hand out condoms and other reproductive health material to their dorm community. All material is provided through I4RH and your level of visibility and involvement is 100% dependant on you and your comfort level.

We welcome applicants from all dorms (we would love to have multiple representatives per dorm), but our most pressing need is in the following dorms: Flaherty, Farley, Duncan, Dunne, Morissey, PW, Sigfried, Sorin, Stanford, St. Edwards, and Coyle/Fisher.

Responsibilities

Reps are provided a plethora of condoms, emergency contraceptives, and informational pamphlets to distribute. Your responsibility is to hand out the condoms and information to those in need. We currently have a request system on our social media as well as our website. When an individual from your dorm community requests products, we will forward you the contact information and it is your responsibility to ensure they get what they need. You are also encouraged to spread information about I4RH and the resources you can provide within your dorm.

Dos and Don’ts

Distribution within the dorms is up to the discretion of the dorm representative, and every dorm is different. There are very few explicit rules outlining what we can and cannot do, however, we have typically found that you are not, for example, have an open bowl on condoms outside your door. However, in the past, some representatives have been able to place an envelope on their door with condoms labeled with an I4RH sticker or other message. Other representatives operate entirely via word of mouth. Please do not hesitate to reach out to irish4reprohealth@gmail.com or our Instagram with any questions or concerns
